Your driving course
Our English driving licence course is a complete course for obtaining a Danish Category B driving licence.
The course costs DKK 18,495 and includes:
- 8 weeks of theory lessons
- 3 driving lessons at the manoeuvring track
- 17 driving lessons on public roads
- 4 driving lessons at the advanced driving facility
8 weeks of theory in English
The theory course runs for 8 weeks, with theory lessons every Sunday evening from 5:00 PM onwards.
You will learn the Danish traffic rules, road signs, traffic situations, risk awareness and everything else you need to know to become a safe and responsible driver in Denmark.
The theory lessons are taught in English and are designed to give you a clear understanding of both the rules and the practical situations you will encounter on Danish roads.
When do i start driving?
After you have attended your first two theory lessons, you will go to the manoeuvring track.
Here you will get your first practical experience behind the wheel in a safe and controlled environment.
The course includes 3 lessons at the manoeuvring track.
After this, you will continue with practical driving lessons on public roads.
Practical driving lessons
The course includes 17 driving lessons on public roads.
Your instructor will gradually develop your driving skills and prepare you for driving safely and independently in Danish traffic.
As part of the mandatory driving training, you will also complete 4 lessons at the advanced driving facility.
Here you will learn how the car behaves in challenging situations and practise handling situations such as slippery roads and emergency manoeuvres.
Choose manual or automatic
When you sign up for the course, you can choose between Code 178 and Code 78.
Code 178
Manual + automatic
With Code 178, you can drive both manual and automatic cars after obtaining your driving licence.
Choose this option if you want the freedom to drive both types of cars.
Code 78
Automatic only
With Code 78, you learn to drive and take your driving test in an automatic car.
Your driving licence will then be restricted to automatic cars only.
You choose your preferred option when you register for the course.
Choose your driving instructor
When you register, you can choose a driving instructor or request a specific instructor.
We will always do our best to accommodate your request.
However, we cannot guarantee that you will get the instructor you request.
Instructor availability may vary, so your requested instructor may not always be available.

How to get your Danish driving licence
1. Sign up
Register for the English driving course and choose whether you want Code 178 or Code 78.
You can also request your preferred driving instructor when registering.
2. Start your theory course
Attend theory lessons in English every Sunday evening for 8 weeks.
3. Manoeuvring track
After your first two theory lessons, you will attend the manoeuvring track and begin your practical training.
4. Practical driving lessons
Continue with driving lessons on public roads and gradually build your skills and confidence.
5. Advanced driving facility
Complete the mandatory training at the advanced driving facility.
6. Theory and practical driving test
When you have completed the required training and are ready, you will take the theory test and practical driving test.
